Lectures and Workshops
Lectures
These usually last about an hour, but by the time I've answered questions and let people see my quilts close up the whole experience can last up to 2 hours.
What Mosaics have taught me
Most traditional 'American' blocks can be seen in Roman mosaics, and the Romans borrowed designs off others, so there is nothing new under the sun. See how I interpret their designs and how I have created my own techniques to make my quilts based on this ancient skill. Illustrated with quilts and slides.
A Quilter's Life for Me
Who'd want any other? This is a light-hearted look at a very laid-back quilter. My mistakes get bigger and better, so I learn from them each time I make them. I like to break the rules and see what happens. My philosophy, my aims, my techniques and discoveries - bring a notebook with you! Illustrated with quilts, not slides.
Workshops
Book covers NEW
Make a cover for that notebook, album or file. Experiment with layers of a whole variety of fabrics, either trapped under a sheer layer or varnished. Then make a tie to wrap round and secure your new creation!

Mosaic Magic
Create 5, 7 or 8 pointed stars using my original technique. Learn the secret of how to make them really shine! See an example on the gallery page.
Crest of the Wave
The Romans loved this spiral design because it was so adaptable, and so do I. Choose one of two versions of the blocks I have designed, then learn my method of making this block without curved piecing. Then discover the numerous ways of putting the blocks together! See examples on the gallery and patterns pages.
